The solution

A specialist in every document you already work in.

Three agents that understand the file in front of them and work inside your own LibreOffice, where your documents already live. To reason, they send the text they read to frontier AI models.

One prompt reads the Data sheet, writes a ratio table on a new Dashboard sheet and charts the results, with every ratio calculated from your figures. Replica of the app window, driven through the agent's real states, not a screen recording.

One assistant. Three specialists.

Each one is built for the file type it works on. A spreadsheet is not a document with rows, and a deck is not a document with pages.

Drafts that land.

Specialized agent for documents — outline, write, edit in flow.

  • Rewrites and refines selected passages on command
  • Detects inconsistencies across long documents
  • Summarizes reports into executive-ready briefs

Formulas, solved.

Generate formulas, audit sheets, automate analysis without leaving Calc.

  • Explains any formula in plain language, instantly
  • Detects outliers and anomalies across large sheets
  • Generates pivot summaries and trend analysis on demand

Slides, drafted.

Outline-to-deck in minutes — your structure, just faster.

  • Builds full outlines from a brief or document
  • Rewrites speaker notes to match your audience
  • Reorders slides for narrative clarity on request

Why a specialist.

A general assistant sees your document as text in a box. It cannot select the third paragraph, read the formula behind a cell, or reorder your slides — so it hands you an answer and leaves the work to you.

An OfficeLabs agent operates the application. It works through the same interfaces the app itself uses, which means it can act on the file rather than describe what you should do to it. That is the whole difference between advice and work.

Macro Studio · coming soon

No more macros nobody dares to touch.

Every team has them: macros scattered across workbooks, written by someone who has since left, with no history and nobody willing to change them. Macro Studio turns them into versioned tools you can read and change. The way coding agents work on software, brought to your spreadsheets and documents. You describe the change, the agent writes the macro, and every save is kept.

Macro Studio

Coming soon
  • Import the VBA you have: what maps becomes steps, and what does not is listed and kept as TODO comments
  • Every save is a version: compare what changed, restore an earlier one, or branch into a variant
  • Describe a change in plain language; the agent writes the macro as readable Python UNO and revises it when you ask

Planned

Your macros in GitHub

Push macros to a repository and review what changed, the way code is reviewed.

  • The agent runs the macro and fixes what fails
  • Preview run, problems and test results in the bottom panel

Describe it: the agent reads and writes the macro, and the change is saved as a new version.

Replica of the app window, driven through the agent's real states, not a screen recording.

Where your work actually runs.

The agent works inside your LibreOffice; to reason, it sends the text it reads to frontier AI models. Here is the honest split, including the part most tools leave out.

On your machine

  • Your documents — opened, edited and saved locally
  • The OfficeLabs module, running inside your LibreOffice installation
  • The agent loop and the UNO bridge that drives the app

Through our servers

  • Account and sign-in, so the desktop app can be authorized
  • Billing, processed through Stripe — we never store card details

Sent to an AI model

  • AI prompts — the text you ask the agent to work on, which can be the whole document, sent to an AI model in the cloud to answer you

Never

  • OfficeLabs does not store your documents. Text is sent only when you ask the agent to work.
  • Your document content is not used to train models
  • No telemetry on what you write

Full detail, including retention and sub-processors, is in the privacy policy.

How it compares

The others work inside Microsoft Office.

All three add AI to Microsoft Office. OfficeLabs is built into LibreOffice. Where a vendor's own pages do not say, the cell reads Not documented, not No.

    Yes: LibreOffice
    Yes: Microsoft 3652
    Why

Claude for Office needs a Microsoft 365 subscription build of Excel. OfficeLabs runs in LibreOffice.

  • Model choice

    Yes: Several vendors
    Yes: OpenAI and Claude1
    Why

Copilot's model picker needs a commercial Copilot or Microsoft 365 Premium subscription and an admin setting for Anthropic models.

  • Apps covered

    Yes: Writer, Calc, Impress
    Yes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint2
    Why

All four cover the three core apps. Claude for Office adds Outlook in public beta.

  • Pre-built skills

  • Macros and VBA

    Coming soon: Macro StudioComing soon
    Not documented: Not documented
    Why

Macro Studio imports VBA, writes macros and versions them, with approval before a run. It is in active development and not yet available. Anthropic lists macros and VBA operations as unsupported in Claude for Office.

  • OpenDocument (ODF) files

    Yes: Native
    No: Not in supported formats4
    Why

Microsoft Office can open ODF, but Copilot's supported-formats page lists OOXML and legacy formats, not .odt, .ods or .odp.
